Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about MBBS admissions.

The NEET UG 2025 counselling schedule will be announced by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for All India Quota (AIQ) seats and respective State Counselling Authorities for State Quota seats, typically after the NEET UG 2025 results are declared. Keep checking the official MCC (mcc.nic.in) and state counselling websites.

Typically, MCC conducts four rounds of AIQ counselling: Round 1, Round 2, Mop-up Round, and a Stray Vacancy Round. State counselling authorities also usually conduct multiple rounds, including mop-up and stray vacancy rounds.

Common documents include NEET UG 2025 Admit Card, NEET UG 2025 Scorecard/Rank Letter, Class 10 Certificate & Marksheet, Class 12 Certificate & Marksheet, ID Proof (Aadhaar/PAN/Passport), 8-10 passport-sized photographs, Provisional Allotment Letter, Caste Certificate (if applicable), PwD Certificate (if applicable), Domicile Certificate (for State Quota). Always check the specific list from MCC/State authorities.

The NEET UG 2025 qualifying cutoff is the minimum percentile/score required to be eligible for counselling. It's released by NTA along with the results and varies for General, SC/ST/OBC, and PwD categories. This does not guarantee a seat, only eligibility.

While exact figures are available only after counselling, based on past trends, candidates often need a score above 610-620 (out of 720) for a good chance at AIQ government MBBS seats for the general category. This is an estimate and can vary significantly.

After a seat is allotted, candidates need to download their provisional allotment letter and report to the allotted college within the stipulated time for document verification and completion of admission formalities.

Yes, if you are allotted a seat in Round 1 and join the college, you can usually opt for upgradation in Round 2 (for both AIQ and State counselling, subject to rules). If a better seat is allotted in Round 2, the Round 1 seat is automatically cancelled.

In MCC AIQ Round 1 counselling, there's typically a "free exit" option. This means if you are allotted a seat but do not report/join, you won't forfeit your security deposit and can participate in Round 2. However, rules may vary for subsequent rounds or state counselling.

If you don't get a seat in Round 1 or Round 2, you can participate in subsequent rounds like the Mop-up Round and Stray Vacancy Round, provided you are eligible and seats are available.

Fees vary drastically. Government colleges have highly subsidized fees. Private medical colleges have significantly higher fees, and Deemed Universities often have the highest. Check the respective college websites or counselling portals for fee details.

Many state government medical colleges have a bond policy requiring students to serve in rural or government service for a specified period after completing their MBBS, or pay a hefty penalty. Check the bond conditions of specific colleges before choice filling.Subharti college dehradun, subharti college meerut, dmer, dmer maharastra, neet pg 2025, neet conselling 2025, private college for mbbs, direct admission in mbbs, neet cut off 2025,delhi neet cut off 2025, direct mbbs admission 2025.
